He'd had a long talk with his friend, really opened his heart, and felt a lot better for doing so. His friend
had patiently listened and offered his own advice. He was trying to talk her out of his system, exorcising
himself of her spirit. He hadn't seen his ex. for quite some time. It was better that way.
He and his friend had had a wild time the previous year and it was to be no different this time. He felt alive
again. Being around his friend brought out his real self. They'd talk constantly about music and movies - both
subjects dear to their hearts, with the philosophy that 'to really get into the music it should be played loud.'
In the afternoons they'd either make the short but steep walk up to the outside swimming pool or sit outside
his room and shoot the breeze with drinks not usually more than an arm's length away. This was how he should be
living his life; not locked up inside himself. The weekends were especially welcomed, usually starting Friday afternoon
with their first drinks.
He could really count on this guy. A real friend. Both had their own troubles but helped each other along the way.
